Darren Chua
Chief Executive Officer.
Darren is a co-founder of Lumyra and works at the leading-edge of AI innovation and human-centred governance. As EY’s former lead Partner for Digital Strategy across Asia-Pacific and Oceania, he understands both the transformative potential and genuine risks of AI adoption.
Darren's perspective is shaped by nearly three decades in strategy consulting, grounded in a technical foundation of computer engineering. His career includes senior consulting roles with Bain & Co. in San Francisco and Palo Alto, where he worked with some of the world’s most innovative technology and telecommunications companies.
Currently, Darren is pursuing a PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, focused on Enhancing human-AI collaboration and governance in high-stakes decision-making. In partnership with Healthdirect Australia, his research explores how AI can be harnessed responsibly to support critical decisions in healthcare and beyond. This dual perspective, combining academic rigour with real-world business impact, positions him uniquely at the frontier of AI strategy and governance.
Passionate about creating value safely and at speed, Darren works with CEOs, boards, and executive teams to help them navigate the future of AI. His mission is to connect strategy, governance, and delivery, enabling leaders to seize the upside of AI while managing its risks, and always with a focus on human outcomes.
Dr Simon Kos
Chief Customer Officer.
Simon brings the voice of clinical reality to AI strategy, ensuring that technology serves healthcare professionals and patients, not the other way around.
As a co-founder and Chief Customer Officer of Lumyra, Simon bridges the gap between healthcare's front lines and executives. A registered medical practitioner and "recovering critical care doctor", he has lived the challenges of high-stakes decision-making in clinical settings and brings that hard-won perspective to every conversation about AI in health. As global chief medical officer at Heidi Health, and previously Microsoft's global chief medical officer, Simon has shaped digital health strategy at scale whilst never losing sight of what matters: safe measurable value for consumers and clinicians.
Simon is a passionate advocate for technology that solves real problems rather than creating new ones. A casual lecturer in health leadership and AI, start-up investor and non-executive director, he partners with leaders navigating digital transformation to ensure their strategies are grounded in clinical truth and organisational reality.
Simon’s approach is refreshingly pragmatic; technology should make healthcare better, safer and more human, not just more digital. Whether advising boards or working with delivery teams, Simon ensures AI initiatives deliver practical, measurable value to the people who matter most.
